Problems with the chat window

I've found that whenever i'm typing in the chat window, i go to delete letters and it doesn't do it. anyone get this frustrating problem???

Not sure. Although, every time i go to type in the main chat window, the cursor bounces out. I reckon if i wasnt touch typing i would get angrier.
