Why delete a thread highlighting road safety?

There are a lot of kids who read these forums, so letting them know the consequences of acting like a total jerk can only be good.

Certainly if it had got out of hand, cap it, but it was one of the more sensible threads seen in a long time!

It wasn't put on there as a road safty thread! It was marvelling in the guys stupidity, so someone someone had the moral sense to delete it. Unfortuantly spinner, the mojority wouldn't look at it like you did!

At the end of the day this involved a guy racing very dangerously through traffic at 170 mph. I stand by the fact that I found this exciting to watch, but also by the fact that it's completely stupid and with no consideration for other road users safety.

You guys were not happy with it, or at least the safety aspect side of things, so the link was deleted and the thread capped before it was also deleted.

Did we really need to create a thread querying another deleted thread?

To be fair, it doesnt make me want to go dress in black and get a really fast motorbike and go at high speeds weaving in and out of traffic and doing what he does....although i dare say some people might, hence why it was deleted?

anyone who does go and race around at ridiclously high speeds weaving in and out of traffic is completely mad and deserves whatever they get. I don't see why this would be considered "offensive"

If you lose members of your family because of them you will soon see the offensive side..

Personally i just cant conceve anyone thinking it was anything other than pathetic. My statement was based on the asumption that the guy does it for a while then gets killed, which would be a great message for anyone watching and thinking it was "cool".

As i said, i didnt watch it all so i just went by what was on the forum.

Apologies, road safety is something i feel strongly about and work hard for, bit of a knee-jerk reaction there. Sorry pool_life.

I would like to know why it was deleted. It didnt break any rules, there was no swearing. He doesnt crash. Stupid censorship.

Why is it stupid? The guy is driving at stupid speeds in heavy traffic. Would you like this being on this site if some of your family/friends had been killed/seriously injured by such an idiot? It was crass, and how anyone could think it was entertaining is beyond me! Really really beyond me!

Thats not the issue Chav_h8r2. Certainly people should have the freedom to watch anything they want and learn lessons from it.

However, Scaley mentioned that it doen't show him crash, which makes it really warped and pointless.

I assumed the point was to see him riding like a moron then dieing as a result, but if it doesn't, then i agree with 1_eye, there can be no entertainment value except to people who have serious issues already.

As i said, do that on a race track, and its impressive, but through traffic, is beyond stupidity and just plain wrong.

Exactly. Just because you feel a certain way about it, you have no right to tell other people how to think.

I'm not really sure what that means Scaley, but regarding the content of the clip (as opposed to the issue of whether it should be posted or not) there is no issue of opinions there, its plain and simple right and wrong!

There's no way to defend actions so pathetic...

WHO GOT THE VIDEO OF ME THEN.

SEROIUSELY THO........IT AINT CLEVER IT AINT ABOUT ROAD SAFETY ITS ABOUT STUPIDITY.
believe me ....i been riding fast bikes for many years and ive done some silly things in my time and had 1 or 2 encounters that could have ended my life....some might think its funny, but think of the innocent people that get caught up in some idiots stupidity.......if the idiot dies then good ridance.....BUT......feel sorry for the poor innocent victims family/children etc

i now ride hard on 'track days' to have my fun ...its far better as everyone else knows the risk. no innocent people to worry about
