There is the bad kind where other players can play several shots without anything happening, or the simple kind where the system simply slows down making shots jittery..

makin shots jittery iz my problem, but it only happens wen the sky advert appears, iz there eny chance that the sky advert cud b removed?

Right. One last time (yeah, i wish!) - the ads are nothing to do with funkypool.

However, they do cause lag if your system isnt set up properly.

A simple cure is to uninstall flash, or disable animations in your browser.

If you dont want to do that, you can right click "offending" ads and lower quality, stop etc...

Also, check and make sure you DONT have Adobe Flash version 9 (the latest). I suspect this may be what is causing some of your systems to run slowly as it is very resource heavy compared to version 8. Roll back to that version if you have version 9.

Another thing people often do is have MSN or Yahoo messenger running at the same time, or even media players! Remember all these things have to fight with Funkypool for processor time. So if you decide to run them at the same time, you decide to have lag. Its your decision!

To clarify - i have been playing on my old laptop, a 350Mhz Pentium3, with 128Mb ram, on a 36k dialup connection, and the sky ad causes no problems on that low spec, therefore the ad, and the site, is just fine..

Are you sure? Check the task manager/processes for things like msnmsgs.exe etc. By running i dont mean actually having the program up and working, but simply running in the background is enough.

Have you made sure its not Adobe flash you have?

It cant be the advert, or it would be a problem for everyone not just the few who are posting on here about it.

Thats just like buying a PS2 game when you have a PS1, and complaining that its the games fault for not working!

Because your computer isnt set up properly and when the higher demand flash module starts its putting a strain on your resources.

If its the ad, how come my old 350Mhz comp can play it fine??

Remember there are no more than about 10 people complaining, out of 55000+ users...

Have you tried different browsers, different versions of flash, updated windows and your drivers?

spinner mate... i have no other program running wen i play funkypool... i have the simple lagg where a few shots are jittery but afta a while this becomes highly annoyin and fyi it is certain adverts that are causin the lagg due to their animation not becuase of my computer setup. simple as....

i know this, as the ONLY time my comp laggs is when these certain adverts pop up for example the sky advert.

i have altereted the settings to 'low quality' which does fack all and i cnt seem to click the stop button and even if i did it doesnt work.

As i said before but some people seemingly cant read - it HAS to be your setup, otherwise how come other people can play without this happening?

I'm not saying this to wind people up, its just a case of accepting that its your problem so people reading this dont think there's something wrong with Funkypool!!

As i have asked before, have you checked you dont have Version 9 of Adobe's flash player?

If its still causing problems with version 8 or lower, just disable animations altogether than it cant play atall!

I get bad lag too when sky ad is on...ive tried all above suggestions and its still happening, could u tell me how i disable animations altogether please.

If you have Internet Explorer, go to tools/options and click advanced. Then un-check all the multimedia options except show images (though i generally have them off too - old habits die hard!)

If that doesn't work, un-install flash via control panel/add-remove programs..

If you like to use a lot of other flash sites (youtube/chat rooms etc) then consider creating a different logon for funkypool with no flash installed...
