Anyone else ever tried using Itunes or Audible?

I have always subscribed to the Ricky Gervais Show, but by the time this 3rd series has come around, the security restrictions have left me no choice but to pay my subscription, but download them illegally.. (though technically i've paid for them!)

What i want to do seems logical : pay for the show, download it, and copy it to my work laptop so i can listen as i travel...

Cant be done unless downloaded to that comp and endless additional players/modules etc are installed..

Surely given the simplicity of aquiring simple mp3's from less legal sites etc, this "security" is only gonna drive people away.. I will be less tempted to pay for the next series knowing i will probably have to download it elsewhere simply so i can hear it!!!

And yes, i know i can download it, use thier software to burn it to CD (if it would work) then rip the multiple tracks to mp3's then join them in an audio editor... But why should i have to!

if your trying to download from itunes which i presume you are, the problem is simply that itunes and ipods suck, for me its always a pleasent suprise when something i download from itunes actualy works

So i've heard! Sounds typical of Apple to me..

Really cracks me up seeing those other execs with thier laptop bag, PDA in the pocket, Ipod earphones in and texting on thier mobile... you can do it all with one of those things dude!!

Back to the subject - I was using Audible, where i got the first two series from.

They used to simply let you (after paying) download a DRM enabled mp3, which could be copied, burned etc up to 5 times which is fine and sensible. But this new setup? Jeezo!
