this iz really startin 2 get annoyin now jus recently i've played a few people n jus because i'm left with the black or the black n a color they say gg which iz annoyin coz itz distractin n it puts me off n i mess up my shot eny1 think there shud b a stop 2 this?

i understand ur feeling on this as it happens to me and usually wen its a dead cert to pot it, it does put me off but i re think and ignore it....i know the motives why people do it, is to distract you..or they are sure you will pot black (1 OF THE 2 REASONS WHY)
BUT on the other hand iam guilty of it too as i say it when i think the opponent can't miss, i should saying it cos now and again i feel i have put them off and they missed

I agree with both coz sometimes ppl automatically say it when they realise the game is lost.

But quite a few do it as a last resort distraction. I had one today saying "gg wp" when I had 4 balls left in US8, with two balls touching and the black hard against a middle cushion. Only thing you can do is ignore it.

i think the main problem wit this iz that wit the pro's other players see that ur a pro n immediately think that ur goin 2 finish the game. sometimes it isnt that simple. i am a pro in us 8 ball n i wudnt even class myself as a pro lol

i never been a pro and it can be from any rank that says it to me and vise versa

i think its ten times more difficult when they say "gg" when you still have to clear a few.

adds to the pressure. which is good and bad.

I've now found an answer, if they say "gg" before the game has finished, if I feel confident of clearing the table I type "gg" back to them before I have cleared, this gets them annoyed and your getting them back at the same time.

Make sure your confident of clearing the table first other wise you'll look like a muppet lol

ye - I've done that b4, calmly replied 'gg' and then put the white down with the black.

Reverse pyschology - appear supremely confident and then totally blow the game - worries em every time

ahh come on i tend to say gg before ive potted my 1st ball.... to really put thm of and seem arrogant

i played a guy on us9 ball the other day and he said "gg wp" after every shot......grrrr

I agree 100% with tread on this one, anything written in the game window is distracting during play (hence why i've always suggested restricting chat to the proper chat boxes during a game)

One tip if you are sure they're doing it deliberately is to loose. I love doing that, really makes 'em look stupid!

YES i agree it alwayz happens to me and it really annoys me and its gettin on my nerves and they sum times say all urs its really bad and i wont it 2 STOP

It's worth pointing out that gg, meaning, of course, "Good Game", is perfectly ok to say at any time if a player thinks it is a Good Game...

i always say gg b4 its over but only if im sure tht in there position i could clear up when ppl say 2 me it doesnt put me off i just play my shot and if i miss its my fault
