i know eve, and i'm not saying you're wrong in being upset, cuz this blows, but i'm just saying don't like insult the others with your comments you know, cuz because of nick's ignorant decisions a lot of them are feeling the burn now.

I agree 100% Brighteyes. Personally i see Martin, Magic, Nick and Afey on most often (Like today)

But it depends on when you are most likely to be playing. Other players maybe never see those mods online!

Again, we dont know what this is about, it might even just be a bug in the program!

I don't think i insulted anybody, my opinion is that cool_dude is or was a very active moderator, and quite a few others i speak too agree. I don't see any other moderator online as much as i see him online that's the point i was trying to get across.

martin and magic yes..nick and afey no. they haven't impressed me at all. i know you fancy nick and everything, but he's losing more and more fans as he makes these decisions. i understand i'm not on the inner circle and don't know the circumstances, but i can take a pretty good guess.

I'm not trying to pick an argument here - but Nick wrote the program, so none of us would even be discussing this if he didnt know what he was doing.

The simple FACT is , we dont know what happened, and we dont need to. Its very unfair to say he has been demoted or that its anyone's fault...

umm okay spinner, i can clearly say he has been demoted. despite what you've been told, nick is not jesus, i know it gets confusing for you. yup he wrote the game, but he doens't seem to be caring much about his users opinions

Ok, i never saw the announcement by Admin that he had been demoted, i apologise. Even so, people dont get demoted without good reason.

As said before, if Nick doesn't listen to users opinions, what about the US games, the Snooker site, the tournaments, the new ranking system, the abolition of the 3ball rule, the new game start system, etc etc.. These all came about after discussion on the forums..

Spinner, thank god for you on this thread seriously.

He has been demoted because of a large and serious concern. Once (and i'm hopefull and pretty sure it will be) he'll be reinstated.

I wish i could tell you the details but unfortunately i'm not allowed too.

You people are so keen to jump on the teams back at every oppurtunity, perhaps if some of you had more of an open, broadminded outlook and thought about both sides, the team would be larger.

I was guilty of just that when i was a member, so please i urge you, think about why a decision like this would be made when Mark is obviously an excellent, dedicated and well-liked member of the team!

i dont know the reason why cool_dude has bin demoted but. . . i think it must have bin something either really stupid or some mear missunderstanding on cool_dude's behalf nick wont demote people for no reason i.e the derpatovski incident. .

Thanks for your comments Martin, Magic and Playerx - but to be fair, a lot of people dont understand the sheer range of things the mods have to deal with, and how much pressure they must be under, not to mention security and network issues etc which, whilst nothing to do with FP, they will still get hassled for.

Its a sign of how well loved this site is. Things cant go wrong/change for 30seconds without an uproar!

So please guys (meaning admin/mods) - take it as a compliment for the awesome job you do day in - day out.

And to those who think i'm kissing something? you can kiss mine.

I for one thought that in his day cool_dude was a great mod. But what we need to think here is why he is no longer a mod. We need to hear something from him and stop speculating, it wouldnt be right if an Admin/Moderator posted about the situation as it is entirely his choice whether he would want the reason to be publicised. He may have decided to leave but i think that the speculation about what happened should stop as anything could have happened. Also the slandering of Mods Admins should be stopped as it would have been a collective decision not one individual who decided this.
