something seriously has to be done about this...im getting really fed up with getting abuse for no reason and no mods online to break up arguments.

despite me using the send complaint feature, there is no *on the spot* effect that a moderator or admin has.

I am a nightshift mod, I'm usually on between 10pm and 5am UK time intermittently.
there are other 'out of town mods as well, i'll let them identify themselves!

Your the only mod I see online during the UK early hours on a regular basis mate. You can't be expected to do it alone.

I find Saturdays and Sunday mornings to be the worse times as i guess people are getting home from clubs and often the chat is about drugs.

all the site needs (in my view) is roughly another 5-6 over seas moderators for the late nights

Yes I applied as well and didn't get it. I don't know how many mods have been appointed in recent months but this site definitely needs more of them.

please use the contac us for any personal issues regarding the moderator selection process; Remember you can re-apply for a moderator every 3 months. Many previously declined applications would be strongly considered in the future.

nutta if there were only 1 or 2 mods that would be true, the way that the mods are selected however is aimed to have a mod or admin on at all times of day.

mcquiston merely pointed out that it is not happening, he is not having a go at the current team but suggesting that someone be added so that the area of time that is being missed out can be filled on a regular basis by an additional moderator or admin.

This is only helping the admin team by telling them where there is a fault and how to fix it and doesn't require any personal comments towards any users.

Equally, as you should remember Squeezy, not so long ago there was an 'army' of mods, and it simply ended up with people being appointed who simply werent all that suitable or became less and less frequent visiters to the site.

The current team unfortunately lost a few members recently, in fact, three of which were frequently online late night. The team will be added to...but rather than rushing the process we are making sure that if the team is added to, it is added to with suitable people. Would you rather it was rushed and we ended up with people on the team who might abuse the position, or stop logging on after a period of time?

If you think you're a suitable candidate i would urge you too apply, and tell people who might be suitable and interested that dont read the forums and maybe unaware of the 'applicant' procedure to apply too! Well, it worked for me!

Unfortunately patience is needed at the current time, i agree that new mods are needed and im sure in time it will happen.
However, regardless of how many mods we have, there will always be times when there is none on. Just remember that we all do our best for the site.

Its funny, when i was a user if i had read this which i'm about to post, i'd have probably thought 'just another team member towing the line', now i'm on the other side of things, i see it differently.

and the current team are great. and i would never submit a complaint about any of them, they are all very reasonable.
