I'm Linda Kirkwood, and I'm 53 years old and I have a dream!

Quite simply, my dream is to open a dedicated holiday home for the disabled,
so that they might be able to enjoy a holiday in the sun where their needs are
put first and that they have the freedom to express themselves.

As a mother I bought up two boys with special educational needs, and it's been a
tremendous personal achievement that they are now forging their own lives. I
have also been a carer for my mother, who has been confined to a wheel chair
for many years through a debilitating illness, with the help of my husband.

I was able to return to work five years ago, and become a care support worker
with the severely disabled. Although a challenging task, seeing their happiness
is sufficient reward. I have gained NVQ Level II in care, along with certificates
in health & hygiene, medicine administration, and first aid, etc.

I'm Paul Kirkwood, and I'm a mere spring chicken fast approaching 50!

Having spent over thirty years in the rail industry as a civil engineer, and the
last twelve as a technical support manager. I am taking early retirement in
September in order to help realise my wife's dream.

I'll provide the background expertise that will be needed whilst Lyn does the
hands on stuff!
