lmao tids, yea i see a few users (not saying names) telling me to stop barking out orders when they are CLEARY the culprits.

why do you think there 26 letters on the keyboard? they are there to be used properly, and maybe if people can be bothered typing in the whole word, mabye we could read and understand the post a lot better.

wasn't an order. it was a suggestion and a question, that is what game queries are for after all.

and i count no mistakes in here, and see how easy it was to read it?

actually there was a mistake, clearly was spelt wrong in the first paragraph as i have put in bold, sorry for being picky but i had to say it and it was easy to read, ill give u that

to be honest with ya dave i dont really see a problem with all the "slang" it IS readable mate i think most can understand it!

some can, some have to re - read it, but whats wrong with using the whole keyboard and using the english language ???? its just being lazy otherwise

well i find that a mix is acceptable, not drastic changes but things like "u" instead of "you" causes no harm does it

Ok, the simple thing is, if you are going to use abbreviated text, use the proper abbreviations developed many years ago for Morse and RTTY.

Not doing so and using the, frankly, stupid form of "txt" speak in which (as pointed out before) you actually use the same, if not more, letters than are in the proper word, is pointless and only frustrates the reader whist making the author look like a moron.

Many good ideas, points and suggestions may be lost due to being written in an incomprehensible manner.

Basically, if you're going to do it, do it properly using the universally accepted phraseology.

This is utter rubbish. To type in the slang used in text messages, on a computer, i have to stop and think what to put!

People mainly use the slang on texts to cut down on the amount of digits used. You get charged if your on pay as you go for longer messages e.g. if it runs to two instead of one when you can use slang. To type it on a keyboard to me suggests people cant spell correctly and get round that fact by using the slang.

It reads like a drunken geordie would sound when he/she is rambling on. Not very nice to read.

By the way tidnab you need to start learning when to use 'to' and not 'too'. See your post below.

can i just say that some ppl like myself use short-end words for example 'ppl' simply because they can not be arsed to write out the full ruddy word.... not because im a retard and can't spell properly, simply because im very lazy!

No-one is complaining about proper recognised abbreviations like "ppl", its the non-standard "txt speak" that is uncalled for..

A perfectly good system was in place prior to the first RTTY transmissions almost 50 years ago. Why try to make up a new one!!!
