At about 5:20am (gmt) there was an asteroid moving at 11 miles per second that almost collided with Earth. It came as close as the moon is to our little planet and it had hit it would have wiped out an area the size of belgium!

I saw this in the paper this evenin, was only a small article as to not cause national panic...so I thought i'd do that here

WE ALL NEARLY SNUFFED IT!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Ison, that would be funny is Belgium wasn't the resting place of tens of thousands of our troops from mainly the first, but also second world wars.
I'd say 90% of us have a relative buried there....at least a distant one.

turner its was merely a joke i didnt mean to disrespect the millions who died in the wars and i apologise to anyone who interpreted it that way, i have actualy been to belgium and visited said graves, but i dont think that just because something bad hapened in a place it becomes of limits for joke makin/general humor as if this was the case then you couldnt mock any place, would anyone have taken ofence if i had mocked poland, i doubt it, but poland was the site of the death camps in WW2, or russia where 1.5 million ppl died in a single battle, whilst what happened in belgium is regretable i stand by my view that belgium is the single most boring palce i have ever been to, its jst a field, with a couple of house doted around, and for somme reason a 12ft statue of a cow in the middle of a roundabout

I just heard bout that asteroid on talksport. They said, because it had missed by thousands of miles, it should be named on the cosmic charts as 'LAMPARD'

Dear Panicy,

The asteriod was spotted months ago, its trejectory has been known for months. It was going to miss us, but if it had hit its agle of entry was so shallow that after some nice fire works it would have skipped of our outer atmosphere and dissapeared back into space. Next time give me a call and i put your mind at rest. lol
