who is your best band ever and why?

mine is muse, they are a unique force in rock music. and the guitarist plays like i've never heard.

they also rock when live. they're sooo damn good.

Silverstein- Every song is catchy, each member is very talented on their respective instrument, and the singer does clean and heavy vocals, both very well. They have also matured greatly from when i first began listening to them, and i expect them to continue to improve!

At the moment-Parkway Drive- The music is incredibly difficult and fast, some of the guitar work is incredible. The vocalist has an amazing set of lungs on him! I like how they vary each song, putting in quotes from films, group harmonys etc, means theres no filler songs from them, ever!

The Saw Doctors - simply the most accessable music, and original lyrics anyone can associate to, and above all, still happy to have a pint with the lads rather than jet away in thier limo...

Plenty of No1's, but never been on a chart show, now THATS class!

mcq i like muse a lot but wen they released Time is running out' it sounded very similar to some radiohead, BUT after listening to the album 'absolution' i realised they werent 'copy cats' to my delight

yer. absolution is mint. when they played that at glastonbury a few years back. it was just incredible.

they were even better live a few nights ago in london.

Dream Theater by a long way. These guys are so technically good. Their songs are normally around 8 minutes in length with many different time signature changes throughout.

To see them live is an experience Normally their performances last about 3 hours! Best band on the planet......EVER

yea i like muse aswell i only actually heard them recently the singers very like the singer out of radiohead,there vgd band though,not to big up on rock music at the moment cuz i play dance music but favourite band when i was younger was pearl jam thought they were great.

Not sure i've heard enough music in my life to make proper judgement tho. Oh dear gunna have to listen to sum more...what a shame

Sum other bands i've liked a lot are Rise Against, Blink182, Goldfinger, Alkaline Trio, Coldplay and Disturbed.

Edit: I really really really like about 10 songs by Rise Against, an listen mostly to those 10 lol I don't really rate the others as amazing however some are ok. Got about 80 odd songs tho
