As spinner said look back through the forum, there are plenty of similar threads, I must warn you few people are impressed by golden breaks these days.

Ok what the hell - but Magic is right, golden breaks in UK pool are nothing to be proud of. Its basically a sign of lack of real skill or desire to be a good player.

not at all, i had a right rant on that thread and i'm very embarassed to see it again

ppl that constantly go for golden breaks shouldn't really be playing this. It really annoys me when you lose a game to a golden break, especially in a tournament. I think the rule should be changed, especially in tournaments. If you get the golden break in the tournament then the ball comes back on the table- it's the only fair way to win.

ok, lets end it here, theres plenty of thread debaiting the pro's and con's of golden breaks; I'd refer you to one but I don't want to be bias, theres just so many of them!

I just see the people thats complaining about golden breaks is the people that havent got hardly any. Its not easy, its not luck, and it sure aint considered unfair .It takes a skill to get them if you dont think so , try it have a good day m8,s The one and only Aceinawhole

Well put magic, but just to clarify a point.

Most people, myself included, are perfectly capable of doing a golden break (if you can hit a ball you can do it, look throught the forums, its as simple as potting the white straight into a pocket.

The fact is that for most people, its an embarrasment to get a golden break. It shows a complete lack of skill or sportsmanship. Sure, they can happen by chance from other permutations, but one in a million means something, the fact anyone can get it 4 times out of 5 now means its a joke.

The people you usuall see saying they require skill are the ones who only have a few, because theyre frustrated at not even being able to do such a simple shot!

golden breaks are pure luck for me, my golden breaks had no technique, i just hit the rack, and the black rolled in

but the players with the golden breaks above 100, thats not luck, that is bad sportmanship and surely, lose the game if they miss it.

p.s = i dont do the golden break technique, its not sportsperson like behaviour!

well jus thought i wud post sayin i just lost in final of tourny due to a golden break

i think that ppl should be embraced for their goldens cause i play mostly 9 ball and i have alot of goldens and they are hard to get in it so other ppl who cant do it should bug off or cry

its easy 2 do us9 golden breaks (even though ant done 1 on dis account) the better way 2 show of is if u can do em on us8 or uk8 ball
