Just played a tournament semi final and my opponent potted a ball at an angle of say 100 degrees.Surely no greater than 90 degrees is possible or is there a shot i do not know about?It was on the cushion,does that make a difference?

If the ball is resting on the cushion, and u smack it in the right place, it goes sideways.

You can double kiss the ball to make it move along the cushion - this works best with the ball near the pocket. Try this in practice first!

OK.I know the shot you guys are talking about.I can play it myself when the cue ball is travelling towards the pocket the ball is going to go in.In this instance the cue ball was very close to the top right corner pocket.The red ball was between the bottom middle and bottom right pockets and was cut into the bottom right pocket.mmmm.

Maybe the angle was deceptive, of course it would be impossible to cut the ball more than 90 degrees!
