Not Cantona, Gascoigne, Henry, Zola, or Shearer, but Le Tissier (who played a paltry 8 times for his country)?

did you actualy watch him play? he could score from anywhere on the pitch, and he didnt just score, he scored the greatest goals i have ever seen, and im not sure that he ever actualy put any physical effort in, thats my idea of genius.

and as for the england thing he played for southhampton no matter how good you are unless u play in the top 5 u wont get a look in, for example in 1996 when le god was at his peak, the euro 96 squad consisted of 3 arsenal players,2 man u, 2 forest,2 blackburn, 4 totenham,2 newcastle,3liverpool, 1 from rangers and inter, now in 1996 they were the top 7 teams in england, southhampton only just stayed up, if the rest of the team could play le tiss would have been in the squad, steve howey was in ahead of him, u cant seriously think steve howey was a better player than le tiss.

and to continue my rant, there was his loyalty, 16 years he spent at southampton despite massive offers from ac milan, barcelona and chelsea
