For some users you may be able to prevent the game slowdown that occurs on your machine.

A solution is to used the faster Microsoft's VM (Virtual Machine) rather than Sun's VM.

You can check your Java version here:

If this shows that your "Java vendor" is Sun you may can attempt to use Microsoft's VM instead.

1. Disable Sun's VM
a) On IE, select "Tools"
b) Select "Internet Options"
c) Select "Advanced"
d) Scroll down to Java (Sun)
e) Deselect the chekbox
f) Press "OK" to confirm the dialog boxes
g) Bookmark this page if necessary; then close and reopen your browser window.

Please visit the detection page again, however do not follow the instructions in the help centre about downloading Java (as we don't want to use Sun's VM remember!).

If you now see the Java vendor as Microsoft you can play the game again, and have no need to follow the rest of the instructions.

2. Install Microsoft's VM
