why does the server keep crashing during tournaments nearly every tournament i enter i get disqualified near the end because of this why is it???

i was just playin n i got signed out so thought it was my internet conection. then the person i was playin apologised to me sayin sorry coz his internet connection went down and neither of us lost any points so was it the server coz as soon as i clicked log in it signed me in

mine is playing up too so it must be the server........

Hey, Nick will need a better server, Thats why he has got a premium version on the site. he is trying his best to get some money to get a better server.

If you would like to help funkypool, signup to the premium version.(when it comes out). its just not helping funkypool out its helping other people and yourself out.

how much will the premium 1 cost 2 join & will it put a stop 2 all the server problems? as it is still the same game but with more features wont really matter anyway im sure we'l all be notified in due course

& again same again with 8pm tourny round 4 was winning & got disqualified what is causing this could an admin pls respond 2 this & let ppl no whats happening

This site doesn't seem to be going anywhere now. I thought it was going to be quite a gd site but things seem to be going backwards rather than forwards. Premium still aint up and running and has be promised for quite some time. Not saying its a bad site but it just doesnt seem to have anymore potential.

Strange one, the server was not at it's limit, nor was it overly busy with users so it may have been a network related problem. Seems like a temporary problem.

This May was the 6th successive month with significant increased user figures (hence the busiest month ever) and plans are to upgrade the server (actually to 2 servers as currently it's shared between funkypool and funkysnooker!).

However we don't have an unlimited budget, so we can't just go ahead and upgrade until finances are sorted! Premium accounts and weekly newsletters will have to wait till after server upgrade!

As for the site going backward, recent new features include hourly tournaments, three new games (US 8 ball, US 9 ball and Arcade Snooker), and constantly improving features (if we can blow our own trumpets ).

nice one nick that is only one oppinion though and there are loads of other users including me who think the site is constantly improving

Nick, why don't you open up the premium now, and if there is any more features just add them into peoples accounts.
This way it will be alot faster to get the money to update the servers

i am confused by phil's comment seriously mate how is this site going backwards?...from when i first joined there has been more features added 3 new games more people are joining by the day so this site carn't be going backwards mate but it's kind of difficult to add all the features and premium with a low server i think nick has done the right thing by delaying the extra features and premium until he upgrades the server therefore everything will run smoothly tournaments ect. no more being logged off and waiting for a few hours for the server to be sorted

I too am confused by that, it must have been a random rant!

The site has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks, reliability is the best ever. I've been playing since i first found pool sharks, which is a few years ago now! and trust me, things have never been better...

If only certain people are getting kicked off tourneys, it must be thier problem not the server. Is happened to me too, before you say anything, but its only a game and the next tourney will be along in an hour!
