In the spirit of fairness and sporstmanship if there is any question over a newbies "newness". Can their names be put here. Basically so I can avoid them

Well they can't post their names....they are newbies...

I dont mean proper newbies, im talking about the guys that create a second or third profile, and play like pros. So if you play any post their names here.

Keeps coming up, and from the other threads I can see the main problem with what u r saying. Some of the fake newbies are 2nd and 3rd accounts, ye.

But some are ppl who have come back after absence with a new name, or changed their name because of hassle on an old account, or simply got bored with their old account and fancied a fresh start.

Why should they be named & shamed for innocent activities like that? And anyway, don't u lose a lot less ranking points losing to a newbie than you do to and intermediate or adept?

I'm not sure, but I think thats the way it works. I don't pay much attention to rank, cos I found no matter how hard I try I always sink back to about 790 (decent adept, crap pro)

Personally, when I see within 2 or 3 shots that it's a pro in disguise, I'm happy, cos u then gotta up your game to try and stay wiv em.

This is something that has always confused me regarding people moaning about rank. If a newbie beats you you loose almost No rank atall!!

If and its a big if its a proper newbie beats me I can lose up 3.5 points. If I win I gain upto 0.5 points.

You sure you're reading that right?

You only get about 0.5 for winning, and the newbie gets 3.5 points for a win, true.

But, even tho the newbie gets 3.5, YOU only lose about 0.7.

Thats right Martin. I dont think i have ever noticed loosing more that about 0.4 to a newbie!

I'm guessing the people who write/moan about this simply dont pay attention...

Losing is part of the game ... if your good u can get double back in 1 game if u play a adept....
