I just wondered if we could have a rough date as to when the premium upgrade will be available. It says on the link for upgrade avaliable in 2006 Q1. I assume this means the first quarter of 2006? as we are approaching the third quarter can you let me know please?

Also can you give more updates as to when other new features will be available and the progress on them? Just nice to be kept informed

phillippe although Nick and Simon monitor this forum, moderators are supposed to help monitor other forums when they are not around.

Nick has said that he is currently working on other upgrades but premium is near the top of the list. Its hard to give a definitive answer as to when it will be available as it depends on how long these other things take. Also there are always bugs ect that pop up and require his attention.

Premium upgrade is bad news. Just because someone pays they'll have an unfair advantage. No adverts displayed is an advantage of premium, which causes lag for lots of people. I don't know if this is a method of making more money by making people pay to play a fair game or just an oversight, but i don't agree with it.

So why shouldnt ppl with money to spend be able to get a better service?

Making MORE money?? You think they make money out of this site at the moment?

Because people should still be given an equal chance when they play each other. And they make money from the adverts.

Thats not an answer mach, your just stating your point again. Why if i have more money than you should i not be able to get a better service which i have to pay for?

I go into a clothes shop and see a pair of jeans for £100 and go to buy them. Should the person stood next to me who cant afford them complain to the shopkeeper that he is being priced out of things and he should have whatever i can?

Yes, but make money in the right way. He once said to me that he'd rather have happy users than make money and i am sure that if people are given an unfair advantage, there will be many unhappy users. If he just either removed the adverts altogether or didn't give the privilege of not having them displayed, i'd be all for it.

It's copyright. It's his site, if you don't won't to sign up to the premium version mach_3 then no-one had a gun to your head. If Nick and the admin team want to charge people for a better game then fair enough aslong as the people want to pay for it. It's all off peoples own bat, no-one is being forced to do anything so calm down for gods sake....

Okay...so what's the 'right' way to make money out of this? I would never buy premium, but I'd be quite happy to play people who had..
