I have noticed ALOT of ppl being deleted all of a sudden. Has some rule been changed or something? I only want to know as i dont want to be deleted - love funkypool too much

Think its because these people have more than one account in use so they're all being deleted.

Just to clarify things no people have been banned or deleted due to this new rule. In fact, we'd not usually take action against multi-users unless they use the accounts to cheat or get round bootings. We certainly are not going to spend time looking for users with multiple accounts!

By the way, no moderator or admin can delete any account, except their own

Nope, basically that's multi-using. If you are booted on one user and came back immediately as a second user we would notice this, then take action.

EDIT: However, if, as you say, you obey the rules we would not check, hence not take action!

I know it would be a lot for Admin to monitor initially, but wouldnt it be good to weed out all the multiple acc users and delete them ASAP, rather than waiting for a specific rule breach?

As mentioned in another thread, there is no feasable reason for having more than one account other than to abuse the system (so to speak)..

When you're in the top you tend to get loads of players who are ranked about 780 who could easily be ranked 850+ asking you for games, every1 wants your rating and you can't mess about without losing a lot of rating.

Being a guest sucks. otherwise why would people have made accounts in the 1st place?

This is when you go on another username, and can play games and talk to player who you know and they know where to find you. Also for players who were not very good to begin with, but have improved they could create a new name to give a better representation of their ability (win %), they wont want to delete their other name however as they may have acheivements on it. (This is the case with me).

I have 3 names, squeezy, qaz, hot_pot.

Squeezy = Original Name

Qaz = Used to see if people where swearing without a mod being in room.
Hot_pot = A better representation of how I can play now rather than before.

I prefer having 2 accounts then 1.. as people have said ,it gives a good option of variation to go on another account.

Sorry Squeezy, but apart from having a different name for modding purposes (which could be set up so you had chat access only) i cant see how it is fair to have different names at different rankings.

All players start relatively poorly, but build up thier history and achievements/rank through time. It is not representative of a players ability if they create a new account once they are a pro!

It is for these reasons that multiple accounts should be deleted, with each player being left with the first account they registered.

This would remove the facts and figures created fraudulently and make for a fair and fun environment for all members. Surely its that simple.

(and nobody can moan about loosing achievements/rank on a 2nd or 3rd username, thats the price you pay for abusing the system in the first place)

Yes, it's very easy to check whether players originate from the same IP address. However, this does not mean the players belong to the same user. This would take further investigation on other parameters (such as whether the IP address belongs to a college etc).

So, we will not be spending all our time checking for multiusing unless the accounts are being used for any sort of abusive behaviour.

If I briefly explain the main reason why this rule came into account from our point of view it may make more sense:

A number of users have multiple accounts which they use to cause trouble, cheat, etc, until they are booted or banned. Then they can immediately log back on with a second user. Meaning in essence they have bypassed the disciplinary procedure.

I still think that players who haven't logged on in a long time should have their accounts deleted. Basically so that some names can be freed up.

This multiple players discussion is very interesting. I wonder why Chelsea havn't thought of this before.

Allot of users complain about the troublemakers and cheaters on the site. If everybody only had 1 name, they would be completely accountable for their actions and this problem becomes very easy to solve.....

No one goes off in a huff when drogba comes off for crespo...they look pretty different + have different names, but its still a chelsea shirt.

We all have different chelseas therefore making all of our comments irrelevant to each other and therefore making the problem become unsolveable so it's going to have to stay the way it is
