Recently a user asked me what it takes to be a pro, what do you think it is? i think its mentality (if your a good player as it is). There are some good players who are adept but you can tell they will never get to pro. the pro's seem to be calmer when it matters and adept's tend to let there a$$ fall out.......

You need to think about your next shot. There's no point going for a pot and losing position because you lose the advantage that way and have to play safe.

Thats how the top players achieve run outs, by thinking ahead.

when i used to be down the lower end of the ranking scale i used to just think about the pot, now i think 2 or 3 shots ahead, and im a much better player

i only win tourneys and big games when im confident in my shots if ya know what i mean,think its a big factor lots a people mess up when they think there not gona pot or not gona leave them selves on next ball.

so you mean confidence is a big thing topshot? your right def.

yea it is,cuz lota players come inta games thinking there gona loose if there playin someone good and dont play there best because there thinkin bout loosin.

yeh true, when i was an adept, i would find out i was playing a pro in a tourny. I would instantly feel a lot different to how i would if it was a novice. Its mainly mentality. Now im a pro (lol) but im still aware of really good adept players.

Some people think that when they play a pro, they gotta change the style of their game for some reason. Not true. You're at your best when you play your normal game so use it against the pros

wen i enter a game i always think i'm gunna lose un mostly i do lol,but i think topshots right if u go in to the game thinking ur gunna win u proberly will even if its a pro ur up against.

i am going up towards the high end of the adept ranking and what has put me up is thinkinh further ahead and being more confident in myself, to all you n00bs out there just play calm, it doesnt matter if its against a novice or a vurtuoso, just play the game how you do best, dont change ur style just to get a good shot, i have found this out in the past trying to use spin on lots of shots to get a better angle but if you really need spin, make sure you have the right power, not a good idea to use spin in a sticky situaution when ur used to your old fashioned ball mouse(like me) and playing on a laptop or using a lazer mouse (NOT EASY GUYS!)
