Ok, i had the pleasure this afternoon of a great series of games with a genuine player, and it only helped to remind me of what a great game funkypool could be if it weren't for this, franky, silly rule.

Unfortunately players like this are few and far between, with many choosing to use this loophole, as that is all it is, to CHEAT and leave the game if they dont have an almost certain win lined up.

Please Nick - remove this rule.

I know there will be objectors but as far as i can see these can only be people who want to use, sorry, ABUSE it for their own ends.

Like i have said before, i'm not a number junkie, i dont even care if i win, i just want to enjoy the game... and since there are 30,000 odd users and only about 30 or so who seem to make up the top ranks, there must be a hell of a lot more like me out there!

Just let the game begin from the break like it should, and let EVERYONE enjoy the site.

unsure for 8 ball but diffently something has to be done for 9 ball, i dont care about the rank, but its well annoying...

Pool_life - am already well aware of the other thread but this was still referring to the game beginning after one ball, as opposed to the normally accpted start of the game, that being the break.

Apologies - spamming was certainly not my intention!

What about if you click a game, but because of the list refreshing you accidentally choose the incorrect one, and then other player breaks off...

Now you are committed to playing a game you had no intention of playing in the first place!!

I do understand the points made about the 9-ball though, as it's a very different game. It's not fair that the other player can break off, leaving a combo for you, and they leave.

But it's like i said before, they only do it me once. gaining nothing in the process!!!

Although it is made silly in 9-ball, this is still an issue in the other games (as highlighted in the other thread regarding people leaving if others are in a potential winning position etc).

The addition of a "Start" button or alternatively a ten second delay before break can be made would give people ample opportunity to leave a game joined in error.

I have to agree with this rule messing up the 9 ball game. The times I have got 2 consecutive fouls out of a player, snookered them, then they leave. If they stay then they get abbusive cos I keep on snookering them.
Most people don't understand the concept of the game, they just aimlessly try to pot the balls in sequence.
Are the rules posted anywhere for people to learn?
