i was on the members bar and i was absolutely outraged to see all the racism and abuse all over the chat room. something must be done to stop it. nick said racism and verbal abuse is out of order. it must be stopped.

I agree. Noticed that it mostly comes from guests. I think it's now time that guests were not allowed on this site. Either register or you don't get on.

Obviously the racism and abuse that I have seen has been in the chat room, which is why I mentioned in the last thread that it is coming from guests. They have no interest in playing pool - so it's time they all got thrown out. Perverts...the lot of em!

There's 2 issues here.

Firstly, if members are racist they will receive an instant ban, and possibly their site will be blocked. Please use the send complaint feature - every case is dealt with and members will receive an instant ban.

Secondly, we immediately block sites with offensive guests. However we can not moderate all the rooms. If you don't want to see or hear guests simply use the ignore all guests option (found on the in-game options panel).

Whether guests should be muted or not is a discussion we've talked about before; the end result was to allow individual users to decide whether they want to speak to guests or not.

there seems to be at least one moderater on most of the time,use the find moderater option and let them see it for them selves so they can boot and possibly get them banned

On funkysnooker, guests cant talk!! Just play, reasonably good i think! As i dont have a user on there i was thinking thats a great idea to block guests talking

the thing is that the some of the mebers and guest do not respect the mods enough and i think that nick should consider gettin a few new mods/admins on to try and stop this because it is causing massive trouble
also i have seen people being mouthy and as soon as a mod comes in they shut up and act all innocent and im sure people know who im talking about but i thik that as long as people have these views they will try and stir up hate and stuff like that

yea but ur always gona get that with mouthy people they cant be prevented becuase all guests are welcome,i think if members are offended by these people they should tell the moderators because the moderators cant be in all rooms,or just send a complaint or choose to ignore.

If it offends you that much, dont use the site.

You are always going to get people like that, just ignore them.

I know its annoying to see but if theres no moderators online you can use the ignore button and it will all go away. You can easily add and remove users from your ignore list so its not too much hastle. Likewise for all users witnessing this type of abuse. If a moderator is online, give then a quick pm and they'll be there in a jiffy! I also know what you mean about the regularity of these type of arguments increasing but as i say, if theres no moderators online, you'll just have to use ignore.

yea so report it to someone or just play a game of pool while its goin on or send complaint,theres simple solutions to all of this,your obviously gonna get abusive people there everywhere,its just the way it is,it aint nice to watch but people are gonna be like that so do ur best to ignore it.

Jacko if you ignore someone, they are ignored on the main chat stream aswell as in pm's. Also you can ignore upto 20 people (i think)

Just as the good dr pointed out before, we are happy to join the conversation and monitor the situation, taking any action we feel is necessary at the time.

Unfortunately, as topshot pointed out, you will always come across users like this...

On a positive note, you do have certain tools to make life that little bit easier, such as the ignore feature.

Ice cool, its a great idea but i think some guests are no trouble, i see it as this one guest can cause issues, if one abuses one then the one who has been abused will kick of and so will other, if you look at the guests numbers i would say out of 30-40 guest what are in the chat room about 12-15 talk, the rest are fine, so i do think its a good idea, but i think people are ruining it for others..

Please just ignore them most are guests anyway which are ignorable. A racist name is worth complaining about however in game racism is something we have to live with. People are nasty, just in general....

ive put people on ignore and it hasnt worked on the main chat stream wich kinda sucks

to be quite honest i think we just gota ignore it, its a problem thats not going to go away, an in my opinion the extremists racists and facists are always gona win in the end simply because they care we dont (well i dont im not sure about ne1 else) or maybe thats just me being pessimistic who nows
