I Am Here

When you want me I am here

With two hands that hold
tightly to what she knows is real.

With two arms that can hug
away the tension of the day.

With two lips that can gently
brush yours with a touch of warmth.

With two eyes that can see
within you and knows how
strong and good you are.

With two ears that listen well
when you need to share your day with
someone.

With a smile that comes from
the heart and shines through
my eyes to yours.

With laughter that can be
shared together each hour.

With confidence in who you are
and who I am and how this was meant
to be.

With a heart full of love that
I do so very much enjoy sharing with you.

my companion,
my friend...

When you need me,
when you want me,
in every step of your day..
I am here, as you are always with me, and always will be.

Stella mate, that was awsome. You got your gental touch on tonight. Be careful as i've been known to cry after a beer, and the way your going i'm gonna end up crying.

Woke early one morning,
the earth lay cool and still,
when suddenly a tiny bird,
perched on my window sill,
it sang a song so lovely,
so carefree and so g ay,
that slowly all my troubles,
began to slip away,
it sang of far off places,
of laughter and of fun,
it seemed his very song,
brought out the morning sun,
I pulled back the covers,
and crept slowly out of bed,
and gently shut the window,
and crushed his freaking head,
I'm not a morning person

Write a Poem

Many an hour alone here has passed
Typing away slowly or incredibly fast
To make up new words that together do link
To make others laugh, chuckle and think
Support, as ever, is given by few
Who cheer, say well done, and ask for a new
They know who they are the cheerful lot
Some who've been here since the day dot
It all started off with a timid request
Help me write poems, give me your best
And so it began the poems did flow
With swing and guevara and myself so you know
Rhymes of a cruise began to appear
But now this is past, of over a year
But fifteen months later the thread still goes strong!
With more people joining and writing along
So this is for all of the poems we've done
And here's to the future for the new ones to come!

Some may say it's crazy
But I don't really care
They could never understand
all that we have shared

All the days you've spent with me
Felt like you were here

Your words are always there
