Owen scored both the goals, granted, but the only reason he was able to score the goals is because of Crouch

because Crouch is so tall, the argentine defence saw him as more of a threat. when ever he was in the box, there was always 2 or 3 defenders marking him. this means less defenders to mark Owen, and he scored 2 headers!

he's a presence. because he's so tall, he'll get the attention, taking the attention off small players like Owen. and in the end, Crouch will start putting them away. everyone deserves a chance at playing for england. Crouch is just having his, and he'll do well (anyone who has half a brain wil see that he already is)

For what it's worth he was a player I watched in the 2nd tier and a player against us in the Prem (not gonna mention tonight...).... think he's one of the most deceptive players around.

6'7 yet good on the ground but poor in the air?? Scored loads for Pompey, sold for 6 mill but makes no impact at Villa. Sold to scummers whose fans were gutted by the signing but managed to play consistently very well and get chosen for england... then moved to Liverpool whose fans also hated the signing. Now can't score for love nor money nor penalty....
