I was in the pub playing pool and saw pool rules. I saw that on a break, for it to be legal four balls have to touch the cushion, now do you think this would be a good idea to introduce this into this game?

that is in the official new rules of 8 ball pool which would be a pain on this site because the people who dont know how to play will have a harder time than others and they wil complain on the forum and cause a lot of stress for nick

i just put my view across and wanted people's opinion, Nick has done a great job on here and has taken our opinions in concideration and i thought i would suggest a new one!! If nick dislikes the idea he will say so and a well done to him for the change to the site. ;-)

Well, there might be a chance that there will be alternative games to choose from... eg funkypool "classic" (as someone coined in another thread), UK 8 Ball (with official rules and proper pockets), US 8 and US 9 balls (with official rules).

Also while we chatting about rules that aren't correct I personally think the most glaringly incorrect rules (compared to official) is the ability to pot opponent's ball and keep your carried shot...
