Come to ireland, it's terrible! You cant import/export any kind of bird, poultry shows are banned altogether and if you you have any kind of bird (not just chickens) you have to register them at the councel just to say you have them.

This kind of thing happened with the 'foot and mouth' and 'mad cow disease'. They go over the top.
