People are asking why the site wasn't shown and tested before. It was: funkysnooker was launched as the beta version of the new features. This was explained on the front page and in many other places. All feedback from the site was incorporated.

If people wish to be involved in the feedback cycle they should be active forum members. People coming on here only after the change is pointless. People are coming on here with their first posts as complaints - this is fine by me, at least people care enough to make their cases.

But please, in the future, if you want to see what direction the site is taking, or want to give feedback etc please play closer attention on the forums. If you're not active member you should not come on here with your arms in the air, please keep a level head and put things in perspective.

Anyway... every game change should be a positive improvement, a lot of time when the game changes people hate initially then grow to like (this is what happened on snooker as well).

What we have to do now is look at what people really don't like (the background image is one which I will revert back), what people dislike (the spin - which we will leave for now, although we can start another thread as how to improve this), and what people don't mind.

Oh, and for further information, I'm not too proud to revert the code to the previous version if this can't be sorted.

In which case it's lost me a bit of work, and you, the users have had to play on an inferior version for a few days!

Bring back 3-d and ditch the clacking sound effect.

Make the only change a side spin one and we can side swerve controversy.

hey nick aint been on for a couple of days but just had my first games and i think its great well done. Only gripe is the break where white has to be in the D apart from that its all goooood

just a thought nick....you said the new features/changes to the game were tested on funky snooker before being released on pool.
Maybe this wasnt such a good idea as the novelty of the new snooker game distracted the players from taking notice of the changes which had taken place, which im guessing was the reason you released the new version on snooker first?

Dont get me wrong, im not critisizing. Im just trying to point out why a lot of players may be angry at the sudden changes, but think about it guys the changes havent really been that sudden? youve had loads of time to get used to them you just didnt realise it.

At the moment i dont really have an opinion on the changes, i cant decide if i like it or not. Ill tell ya what though...the sidespin kicks a**!

wow one thing i did just notice is that the level of backspin and topspin are not affected by the shot power anymore. How helpfull is that! I think i could get used to this :O)

Yeh the spin is great, not too keen on the breaks though.
