Yep, that's a good point thuganomics2, a lot of the point of funkysnooker was to get the game working ie cushions, side spin etc.

What went wrong was the same physics (ie max power etc) did not look good when applied to snooker and pool, because of the different table size etc.

one thing i did just notice is that the level of backspin and topspin are not affected by the shot power anymore.
