The new version is not for serious, habitual players. Its for lunchtimers at work aged 50 and over, playing with a sandwich in one hand while occasionally glancing at their neighbours newspaper.

I think the colours are to bright and loud. It can be hard sometimes to see the curser.

You can hit the ball to hard. It's not accurate. From the D, if i hit the ball full across the table I can hit the cushion 7 times. I am sorry but that is very hard, near impossible.

Why the need for the random shot. I understand the clock, but not the shot.

Funkypool used to be and for the most part still is a great pool site, maybe even the best. but with the new improvements you are stearing towards some of the other hit and hope pool games on the net.

The yellow balls blend in with the green so they're hard to see and the red balls are too dark.

Also the wood around the sides looks stupid...

The clock hasnt gone, maximise the game screen and it wilol appear.

I think the side spin is a good idea, though it'll take ages to master...but i don't particularly like the pace of the table..i've played n real life on some fast tables, but i've never played on an ice rink :P

Other than that...it's something i could get used to..but grudgingly.

Why is there so many threads containing guesses it was done for financial gain? This is no conspiracy, it was done with 1 goal, to improve the game!

The game engine was improved. Yep, it should have been tidied a bit more before release, but this is meant as a stepping stone release before the more accurate pool games are released. This game is unrealistic in terms of the pockets, the new game engine has capability of proper realistic pockets, surely an improvement for any serious player!

The whole list of changes are as follows:
- side spin
- sounds (loud / medium / quiet)
- modified ignore PM feature - see instructions for details
- mute guests option
- user logs split into additional category
- hide additional information for banned players
- admins able to promote and demote mods to user

- FIX: check for banned/booted status before posting / deleting the player
- FIX: removing post by a deleted player gives an error
- FIX: ignore shot requests when computer is busy (lag prevention)
- FIX: improve connection (resend ability / reconnect ability)
- FIX: allow deleting of chat room with apostrophe
- FIX: prevent client error when resizing table during shot
- FIX: some processes did not end when shutting down tomcat
- FIX: forum edit box is too wide under some browsers
- FIX: thread performance issue fixed, should be no need to cap even if they go very large

Anyway, I've fine tuned the game engine with parameters close to the previous version, and will restart this version soon.
