better lyrics, better music, better singer, better live concerts, and better all round feel to the band members

Oasis, ... classics, not a fan of every single song they do but they are still a lot better (in my mind) than U2, but I got a lot of mates who would disagree with me.

Ps. A lot of people arn't really old enough to be into them when they were around for the first time (if that makes sense) cos the battle between Oasis and Blur was ledgendy.
