What do u think of funkysnooker- i think its good apart from the cursor being bigger than the balls, long sjots are v hard. The enlarged screen is better but then we can not chat, can they rectify this?

yep, fine tuning will be performed after users are happy with the physics, as in the speed of balls, side spin, power, stuff like that.

yeah youve posted that twice.
the crosshair is your cursor settings, not the web sites doing. change your cursor settings to your liking.

well thats what nick said to me.
it does have a downfall in my opionion. i know its only a demo, but it seems far to much funkypool like. not that thats a bad thing, just expect it to be different realy don't you? or is it just me?

The only thing similar is the chat section, the table is different

not just that, the website in general, like the homepage, layout, settings etc etc. everything is the same except the table (balls, size etc) and the colour.

if you ask me the physics are off a bit cus if you do a hard shot all the balls go flying. if you did that on a real snooker table you would get different results. apart from dat everything seems gd.

GAME: Practice break of 91 points
I think it's very good, would like to give a VERY big congrats to Nick, think you've done a grand job.
Would like to see the sidespin be a tad more effective off cushions, though. Other than that, its Amazing!!
As for everybody saying its very hard to pot, i agree. At first it was very hard to pot, but thats only because its new and different to funkypool dimensions. After playing for around an hour on the practice table i found it alot easier to work the angles, configured the sidesspin and how effective it was from cushions after pots. etc etc.
the weight IS FABULOUS, couldn't be better!!
Again well done :-)

Thanks lars! Did you seriously get a break of 91? If so that's real impressive!!
How do you find the top/backspin, and did you notice you can hardly backspin from a distance?
Now to go through some of the comments raised:
As for funkypool and funkysnooker webpages being similar, yes, they will always be the same, but basically a different colour scheme will apply. This means they share much of the same code - hence the websites can be updated in parralel.
As for the size of the elements, initially everything was in real snooker table proportion. But with a 2D game limited by screen size this made the shots almost impossible. To make the game playable the pockets and balls are 50% larger already. Yes, it is more difficult than pool, but isn't snooker supposed to be?
As for the cursor being too large, the cursor is not part of the game. Basically it is your windows "crosshair" cursor (as gilli said). You can actually edit the cursor to whatever you want using your control panel, then mouse, then pointers. Look for "Precision Select".
This doesn't mean that any of these elements can not be changed, but I'm telling you the reason why they are how they are.

haha, i like it nick!
it is very realistic! not much (if any) needs doing to the table, ball, pockets, spin etc.
spin, power and the table are all spot on!
