Hey. Got together with afey this evening on msn (no, not on the webcam!!)

We spoke about a thread which came up on the staff area a couple of days ago about early morning tournaments.

We heard from nick this morning confirming that tournaments every 3 hours would be a good idea for now, until he has time to enhance his coding further so people who enter the most tournaments won't be better off.

Between us we've managed to add these tournament slots.

Feel free to chat in here, but bear in mind that nick's meant to be coding something so tournament wins mean more and that users who enter every single tournament won't be top of the chart all the time!

ok, well i think that its good, and i cant wait for the 'thing' that nick is working on because then the best will be shown as the best and there are plenty of tournys for people to enter throughout the day meaning no-one can complain.

Still, theres nothing to someone entering most the 4am tournys (which are likely to be weaker and smaller) so that they win a higher percentage of tournys.

I think I and quite few people suggested this. But anyway im liking this....means insomniacs like myself if bored can enter tournaments. Also we might see the best asian funkypool player due to 4+7am tournaments. All good+idea is MINT!!!

yeah sounds great, i might enter some torneys when they actually mean something!! gives you something to play for, other than a number(which it is, that all it is, no more) on your profile! still feel that there are far too many tournaments though!!! ¬_¬. if the number of tourneys stay high, then to make it better maybe having something like below!, i think it will be better this way!

i think that there should be different kind of tourneys, for players that want different things out of tourneys. if there are 12 torneys in one day, then maybe 4 should be for ranking points, 4 purely for fun, 2 as they are(tourney win on profile) and 2 of this new idea that nick has!

i feel that this would give a better range of tournaments for all users!

Tournys are great, they work well and the new system is great, however they dont mean the same as they used to, so im hoping 'nicks idea' will be good, because it will be nice to see who actually has a good percentage of victorys in tournys, although at the end of the day...

If someone thinks that if they enter every tourny throughout the day and win one that makes them good, then so be it, its just an online game!

I havent entered a tourni today, guess i hoped u liked ur loss in final last nite :-D, I beat good people, knocked out, steven_up,anth0ny,popejohnpaul and you in final 3-0 :)

lol i was suprised to get there playin so bad but ah well i got xbox live :-P hahaha

In my opinion the tournaments are ace but if it was up to me I would change two things.
1. It should cost 1 ranking point to enter. Then at the end of the tournament, the winner should get all the points collected. This can be a reward for the effort.
2. The round times need to be shorter. I hate waiting for 20 minutes if I get a bye and its even worse when two crap people cause they take forever.
Thats just my opinion.
