Are they getting easier, or are we getting smarter?
Should the goverment make them 'harder'?
Is the older generation just looking for an excuse because we beat them?
Are we harder workers?
Is the teaching getting better?

personally i think we are smarter, and that the GCSES are easier to pass, but only because they follow guidelines which of you know them and what to learn, you cant go wrong!

I think teaching is getting worse, but not drastically.

What do you all think??

p.s, need to have taken or will be taking GCSES in the next few years/past few years.

I'd say that the teaching is getting better, but the attitude of students is getting worse. Therefore the ones who dont do the work may be intelligent and get the grades anyway, and the people who used to fail do to simply not being able to are getting a better education and are therefore getting better grades.

The papers arn't gettin easier in my opinon, i've taken an O level paper an did better in that than the GCSE Maths one.

Personally i agree with squeezy in a way that the teaching is quite good but the will to work is dropping. This could be because children feel as though education is not so much a part of their life.

My opinion-

GCSE's getting easier

A Levels getting harder

(they make the GCSE's easy and then make the A Levels hard to even it out ;-) )
