Shaun, your problem is nothing to do with the connection. Your Java version is out of date, while the game works on there, there is a serious problem which causes you to be logged out.

Jamel, your problem does seem to be the internet connection, as gilli says if you are busy downloading stuff (eg music), the downloader can hog the connection, meaning your funkypool client can not "speak" to the server. You should check the settings on the program to use to download files and ensure that the download speed is not set to unlimited.

Else you could have problems caused by intermittent broadband failures.

nick thankyou i am in the process of downloading the updated java as i had the one you sed (lol). I will let u no if it works and thanks again.

Nick, i tried downloading it twice and it didn't work i still have 1.1.4. version that you said i have.

Sorry, only way to fix your problem currently is a succesful install of a later Java version. I know it's a pain, but Windows 98 Java 1.1.4 is not stable enough to play the game :(

sorry m8 but its not that say im just on msn say log off msn take internet off and just have pool table up it happens my connection is fine all the time tho

tnx justmygirl but that doesn't help-when server logs me out it says error occured and i can't sign back in, it's so annoying, but thnx anyway

I had the same problem. You need to update your java version. Or if you have the latest one, un install then reinstall.

i get logged out somtimes but usually only when i have msn on. msn or not i have really bad lag which can last up to 2 mins when playing.

EVERY night for like past week every site seems to work fine but funkypool plays up for me. Every 2 games I play it says im not responding and odd occasion logs me out. i mean everything else seems to work and dont know whats wrong. So then I go to Poolsharks and theres no-one there to play.

shaun ive tried everything and still cant log on!!!! this is only happening when im using laptop though,its fine on other pc,mad thing is tho,they both got same version java and same security settings!!!!! so im at a loss,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

its happned 4 time today now im an intermediate again i have lost about 5.00 by the stupid server!
