i was playin some1 and he put the black down on the break and he won. WOT THE **** IS GOIN ON.

so when ever i break now i must try to pot the black on the break. that would be game to me and i only made 1 shot lol. not the rules of real pool tho. not that i can rember.

It's not an official rule. If a black is potted off the break it should be a re-rack.

it is an official rule i know lol u cant change rules lol i fink these rules are EPA rules where as the ones im used to playin are WPA where u av 1 free shot (not carry) but they r still the rules

funkypool is not based on officical rules, the rules are the most commonly played pub standard (according to my research ;) ).

In a few cases the rules had to be altered to ensure fair play (eg always having 2 shots on the black).

Black ball winning the game on the break is an incentive for a player to try an aggressive break.

funkypool is aimed at an arcade style game, not a simulation. However we are thinking of having the official rules as an alternative.

as nick said, it would be prefered that if you hit the black on the break you win because it helps users to use/experiment different break techniques to success it.
