A sigh and a moan,
Then I ask myself, Why?
You'd think it could get better,
Instead I watch it die.

Some bloke hasn't showed,
Doesn't care like a few,
At one time such a hero,
His gift to me and you.

I smirk at the thought of laughs,
For which we sometimes had to queue!
Then those upstairs would shine their Boots,
When the language turned blue.

Alas, its end is near,
The banters gone, the people too,
I'm still glad for the whole experience,
Enjoyed competition, and, probably meeting you.

Id be ashaned, it isnt a lot

In bed, lights out, late nights
Crazy thoughts giving frights
Been there before many a time
Imagining things would be fine
A road once travelled and enjoyed
At one time would leave me annoyed
Would it be really insane
For me to go down memory lane
Would it send me round the bend?
Would i be able to pretend?
Maybe i should just let go....
Or take a risk and go with the flow
Only time will tell me this
Ill end up broke or feeling bliss

A feeling, a thought, a precious place
The desire, the lust, a certain embrace
An intensity, a fear, unknowingly to those
The greed, a chance, only a dream will expose
The love, the hurt, those longing nights
The hunger, a taste, the wrongs and the rights
The coping, a juggle, switching off and on
A silence, a sprint, or a marathon
Continue, or stop, what should you do
Deny yourself this, youll be denying me too.

Broken Robot for Sale

A few years old and broke but fit
Im selling this robot to clear out my s**t
She comes with warning so no returns there
Dont say I didnt warm you so buyer beware

Shes bugged with viruses but thats only my theory
Theres no threat here for Elexar and Siri
Commands are ignored and frustration sets in
When my idiot robot refuses my sin

Selling her cheap as its not worth much dough
Even a kiss on my cheek is a defo no go
Shes designed for pleasure but only offers pain
I should return her to the manufacturer I had out in Spain

All offers considered Im a decent enough chap
And if all else fails Im sure shell make good scrap

I cant throw it away its a hazard you see
The bin men wont take her for their own safety
Her programmings dodgy and will flip out real quick
Shes supposed to be programmed into sucking my...toes

A hazard? No way oh be careful bab
Try re-programming her in your lab
Twist some wires tighten some screws
Then sell her on for someone else to use

Too late for that bab shes beyond repair
Am I really bothered? do I really care
Nasty piece of work that robot of mine
I dont think its worth giving it the extra time

Prep

The sun is shining, the grass is green
Tidy the garden so its smart and its clean
Cut the hedges and mow the lawn
Could work on that baby from dusk till dawn

The Jet blast is my favourite I must confess
I feel like a ghostbuster in a muddy wet mess
So get your hunters on dont be shy
Get your garden ready for the summer sky

I think robots have some feelings too

As you know it holds memories dear
For me and people who used to be here

We used to post here every night
On this thread on this great site
It truely is a part of the reason
I still visit Funkypool every season

Loads of peeps have said theyre bit

So many more new members now
They caught the poem bug somehow
Some are fantastic some are not
I dont care as i read the lot

But no matter whoever decides to post
Its still poem thread i luv the most
I'm hoping to read them yr after yr

Old and new...great poems (8 YEARS?!)

Its after midnight and the house is asleep
Im wide awake so forget counting sheep
Organise my emails or go for a walk
Find someone to call for a walk & a talk

Shall I write a novel or plan my next trip
Fly across the world or sail a p&o ship
Or maybe adopt a tiger or hire a limousine
Get my pilots license in time for Halloween

Or just go up to bed and force myself to snooze
This energy I have I simply cannot abuse
Im sure the sheep will help me drift off and away
So night night from me, im off to hit the hay
