Uninstall your version on Java and Mozilla Firefox via the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and download the ESR Version on Firefox on this link: -
Link 1: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/
Then the link further below for your latest Java.
Though it was suggested for a while, Mozilla has confirmed continued support for the Java Plugin in Firefox through to the middle of 2018. You need to use the ESR (Extended Support Release) which will continue to receive security updates.
If you try to run a Java plugin, like funkypool, it will link to the download page, but in case anyone is having problems, you can get it here :
This means 3 main browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari) are good to go for a year or more yet, by which time Java itself is timetabled to have moved on.
The latest version of Java is here :
Link 2: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Download the offline installer from the above site to avoid the bundled ASK toolbar.

Well thaks for trying. I followed all these setps twice, and don't believe I messed anything up really, pretty easy to follow and I know some about it. So...I dunno.

Just uninstall both java and Firefox, then download an older Firefox version and turn off automatic updates and then download java 8 update 31and it should be fine. It's not the "proper solution" but it works.

^ That's obviously what happened to Craig too. Must be a server glitch or its blocking IP addresses that are var or proxys (or similar) from entering the server.

I just had the same error and have a way around it:
* Open a NEW Window and type in OperaVPN
* Install the latest Opera Browser
* Wait for it to get to the Speed Dial Start up page
* Hover the mouse pointer over to the Clog Icon (Top Right) or Click on the Menu (Top Left)
* Scroll down to Settings
* Type in VPN
* Tick the Enable VPN box and try Pool again.
* Access should be possible.
It worked for me just.

I had an email about it at work as we sometimes have to use VPN servers for security.. The hosts of certain servers are now beginning to block well known vpn's and proxys because they are flagged as bad IP's due to spam or trolling etc. So anyone using the VPN's where you can "shuffle your IP" and what not will be flagged by the owner of funkys server. Examples are "hidemyazz" and "anonymouse" It does beg the question why anyone would be trying to mask their IP from funky, but that IS the answer as to why it's happening
Just to point out that if you even have a SIMILAR ip to the ones flagged it could be blocked, so may explain why some people are experiencing problems with no idea why.
