Sunderland have done well but now we have the lead i expect the flood gates to open. Hopefully Mkhitaryan will be subbed on 2nd half and we create more chances. Lingard's been very quiet IMO.

How long before Alan Pardew becomes Swansea' manager?

I'll give it 48 hours.

Great win for Liverpool but Man City were ridiculously bad at the same time.

Great 3 points today, made the current champions look ordinary. Only 1 point behind Liverpool - Watford at Home next - Spurs for them.....c'mon United!!!

Tottenham were woeful but Liverpool did play well, can see they've missed Mane. We are back to 6th but only 2 points behind 2nd....we have a long break before our next League fixture. By then we would have completed 2 Europa matches, FA Cup vs Blackburn Rovers (Away) and Southampton in the Final at Wembley. We will also have games in hand...which could be a great help with fighting for the Top 4.

I still think we can finish 2nd tbh....Chelsea will be Champions, unless they suffer a complete capitulation which I just cannot see happening.

Looks tight, City should go 2nd on Monday but the way 2nd-6th plays I wouldn't be surprised with points dropped (even though they might've turned a corner). I would like to see a wobble from Chelsea (have them figured out like we've been recently) because a 6 way title fight would be a proper way to follow on from Leicester's title, though I have no faith in it happening.

Right now, 2nd is just as likely for any of the top 6 as 6th is (bar Chelsea). Gut feeling says Spurs should be safe for top 4 and I think Arsenal could well miss out with how corrosive the fans are right now, I think they'd get on their teams back more than get behind them if they're needed.

United's run in looks likely to take them into the top 4 before they hit the tests at the end (Chelsea mid April then City and Spurs in the last few games) so they may well be defending a place in those matches. Only issue is they look a lot busier and 3 points could well be the difference between 2nd and 6th right now and they have the worst GD of those top 6 right now. With the mini league of the top 6, United would want to improve because that could cost them.

Liverpool absolutely need 3 points next, and to string a run of wins together else they'll surely miss out. We've lost 4 matches against the bottom 8, and 0 against the top 12 which is baffling. We need to figure out how to break down these teams because we are vulnerable to a counter attack when teams draw us so far forward. Mane could be key, it's always nice having the top scorer back and it's such a boost having him. We need the width he offers, and the speed. We've been too slow without him, and we've let teams get into shape before threatening them. The side we played today would probably be the one I'd pick from a fully fit squad other than Lovren in for Lucas. Winaldum is an important player who does a lot of unnoticed donkey work, Can as an alternative just doesn't give us the same threat and he is too much like Henderson. We were well organised defensively, fully deserved the win but we've had no issues with teams who come and play against us. It's the flip side we need to work on.

I would add if any of those top 6 were to falter badly then Everton could well steal 6th. They aren't a threat for the top 4 but they should get 7th, and push on for higher.

Leicester sack Ranieri!!!
What a ridiculous decision, only just won the Premier League, voted the Best Manager in the World now deemed not good enough by foreign owners.

Very Sad and Heartless!!!

They got a lifeline last night with an away goal, what hope do they have now of a brand new manager coming in and getting a result against a top side in Sevilla. Wrong time if they had any ambition of making it through to the next round. It's giving up a once in a lifetime chance for something you can get back next season, or in a few seasons.

A rare log in just to say....
Ranieri being sacked is beyond ridiculous, no loyalty in football and its sad that Leicester have got into that.
see you all in a month :D
