Its amazing. We have a week to play and tombo1 wont be on again till next weekend and bicjl2 has been off 7days. Is this lad mental? Anyway Greg, Phil and Seb just send messages and hope that two thirds of his team make it on by next weekend. Just in case the muppet reads this, Greg doesnt play Sundays

I expect bigcjl2 to be back soon but will make a sub if he's to long so no worries there. We have subs available for all of the above fixtures if needed.

Huts, you go on about others putting inactive players in fixtures yet you do it all the time, picking 2 inactives out of your 3 when there's only a week deadline, captaincy doesn't get much worse.

You realise that Seb could just let the game go to default and he would win the game, right.

If tombo is only available 2 of the 7 days, and Seb sends a couple of messages in the first 5 days of the fixture... Seb has won the default no problems. Not saying he would do that, because I believe Seb would win the game anyway (and want to). But if a sub has to be made, or tombo can't match Seb's times at the weekend, we won't be making any kind of sub.

If everyone run their clan the way huts does there would be more defaults than games played.

Yup this is what Keith tried to prevent with his strict guidelines but not working so should we ask to make it even stricter? stricter it is made, more it benefits activity/effort but recruitment suffers.

I know everyone wants games played but captains need to stop jumping for him on the odd day or 2 his players show up. If he keeps getting punished by defaults then eventually I'm sure he'll stop doing it, most of his inactive players seem to be his best so if he knows he can keep getting away with putting them in and the games getting played then he'll obviously keep putting them in until he starts getting punished for it.

Yep in the Fresh game i think Ash would have taken a default but the lead was too large for Scorpions and didn't help when Keith said, if you refuse to play, you will be punished too as that gives Scorpions ammunition to say Sub or we win rather than take it to default and get a 6-0 victory which if Fresh chose to do so then i would support. This is the same guidelines as Snooker where you lose points for refusing to sub on deadline day when the guidelines should protect those one sided fixtures which is why it was created so Captains thought twice about putting inactives in.

In that instance it wasn't Ash's fault but Fresh was almost forced into playing to try and get a win rather than a guaranteed loss at default due to that lead and refusing to sub/play. Ash didn't have much choice then and had to play or be eliminated which didn't seem right.

Best thing FPD can do is either win or draw by time Tombo plays Seb then hope that Seb has sent messages and stay active to win the tie. I do have hopes Tombo will be on at the weekend but shouldn't be left to chance.

Sorry for the rant

There has to be something implemented where a Captain is unavailable to select anyone inactive over 5 days. It only takes two seconds to log on, make a little post stating they are still available and contactable than just allowing days to mount up.

I myself have done this and used the fact I received messages via FB instead but it's not fair on the opposition. From now on only messages received on here will be taken into consideration.

Tombo1, I'll give him credit he did log on when stated but still 2 days of of a possible 7 isn't helpful nor really accommodatong the opposition and the fixture. We played the game yesterday as legend_pot himself has scarce availability himself. Had I known that before team selection I would have kept him back as a sub for when available.

All we need as Captains is reliability, good communication & respect from players and fellow Captains alike.

We dont need new rules which have to be inforced and cause controversy. We just need intelligent actions by captains to help keep the whole process moving the way it should. There are few games at the moment because the needs are less so they should be done quicker. Instead we have at least one match that can cantt be played until deadline day. Its comical and riduculous. The rest of the teams want to play their next set of GSC games but now have to wait a week. Could have been 2-3 days if he had played active players.

Totally agree mate - we had to wait till the end of the week too, over a 1 week fixture it's pathetic. I asked him to keep tombo1 as a sub and play him IF and when he were available. But that's just their Captain for you.

Might add tombo won well in that match so I'm pleased he played.

I have no qualms with the result and the fact tombo1 played very well, that's not the issue in question. Your mannerisms and attitude mean zilch to me - your actions however are IMO stifling clans and the competitions as a whole.
