With Andy being inactive it serves no purpose for him to be in the team right now, if you'd removed him early on you could've subbed and sorted this out in the first week. In effect, you valued the prospect of andyw1 playing a game above the match he was in being played.
It's hardly fair to ego for him to be active most of the fixture with no opponent and then subbed out just because he's been given one. The Phoenix sub delay caused the match to not be played for 2 weeks (and you have to take responsibility for that and not just blame the rules), now Scorpions are the cause for the third week.

how was ash supposed to know andy was going to be inactive when he put the team in? he didn't and made sub as soon as he could though, whereas they could have made a sub at any time this week and chose not to even though their player was clearly inactive and they could do something about it

I have been informed that Seb will be away for three weeks so have left him out of the FCL fixtures. I have been warned. Ash didnt know one of his best players would be out for 2 weeks and has offered up a sub emmediately he was able. You all want him to remove the player for obvious reasons which have nothing to do with fixture getting completed. We have all accused Ash of dodgy stuff when it comes to subs and swaps. In this case he has done what was required and you are still stiching him up. Grow a pair an do the sub so we can enjoy whats left of Sunday. It's a dead rubber for cryin out loud.

If you're willing to sub a player out (and you were before the second Sunday) then you must be aware they aren't active like they had said. You placed those wishes above the wishes of an active player who wanted to get the game played. You could've removed him and re-added when you knew he would be active again.
It's fair enough Joey has made the effort, but that doesn't mean you would go unpunished for supplying an inactive player and refusing to sub them out because you don't want them to miss out on future sets. If you'd have acted quick enough he would've only been ineligible for the first FCL set (which he has been offline for almost the entire length of anyway).
I'm not saying you made the wrong choice, it was your decision. But you have to accept the effect your choice had, and not try to deflect off that even if you've done all you can in the last week.

Yeah but thats up to the default panel. Just saying 2 wrongs have never made a right and this is just pig headedness. Plus if it wasnt Ash this game would have been played already. Its the first set of the new season and i didnt/doesnt have to be this way .......surely

Not denying that mate (i did see a post from poolbiird though), not saying Ash didn't know Andy wouldn't be active and Ash has done everything Phoenix can do which i give him props. People are missing the point though which has been in clans which is Huts has the choice of if to sub out his player, like Dee for DFE or Stu for UPR. If Huts doesn't want to sub then he doesn't have to and no matter how mad people get won't change that.
People may think i'm ganging up on Phoenix but it isn't the case, It isn't anyones fault here expect the Offline Player which is out of clan control.

At the start of the season Keith made a long post about this very situation. All captains read it, and knew there could be consequences for selecting inactive players. It's the same rule for every single clan so it seems perfectly fair.
I don't think anyone is particularly at fault, as andyw1 didn't seem inactive at the time - although he maybe should've been removed as he could always have been re-signed afterwards. I can also see how it would be harsh on ego to sub him out after having to wait 2 weeks for an opponent.
I think if it was me, I'd make a sub but I can understand why huts is reluctant.
