^ To be completely fair to Ash I don't think he has any responsibility in this at all. Ray wanted to be on the same team as Liam, As a captain who is striving for decent players he was unlikely to refuse him. There are captains who refuse a player so as not to unsettle the league but that is personal choice and whos to say he wouldn't have just left altogether or gone somewhere else had Ash done that anyway.
I'm not altogether sure why he made such a big deal out of it by posting on the thread as I had no issue playing 'alongside' him nor did I have any interest in ever speaking of the whole idiotic thing again. It was done and dusted in my view. But people like to continue things, I get that. But just saying you want to leave somewhere and you have joined somewhere else is more than sufficient, without getting personal. The end result is still the same, the player leaves and goes elsewhere.
It's not an overly huge blow as Ray expressed the desire to be taken out of future fixtures unless absolutely needed anyway.

True, the thing that gets me is Ash included me in his quote so by writing negative things about me, i did the same in return. I know two wrongs don't make a right but in the past if i failed to stand up to someone then they continue to do it until i face them un scared of the consequences then normally they stop.
Anyways done and dusted i hope, If Ash has any quarrels then message me offline and i'll be happy to answer them.

Ray's just Liam's baggage. First time around with Phoenix Night's he got upset because Ash didn't select him for any important games, and it's not like he'd get anywhere near an FCL start against Uprising now. He's surplus/cover at PN's and will only play v smaller teams, but was a fairly important cog at Pro's. I reckon that's the only reason there's a big to do about it!

Just adding to this the rule was done as I didnt want players being owned by clans and no way of standing up against power mad captains. Last season with the exception of 2 or 3 subs the rule worked fine. It is something I monitor and I would have to agree that this season a few have been taking the proverbial and abusing it to look after their own clans which is what every captain has to do but then it impacts more on the whole league. It is something that I will probably look into at the end of the season and it might well be that next season we go back to no movement of players or something else.
Same as real life you give an inch and some always take a mile
It's no different to what happened last season with Black Scorpions, players want to move, no one owns anyone. Now next season you post this might be looked into.
This is just another case of rules being adapted/modified when they suit. Sorry but rules are Rules. None have been breached, of course teams and Captains alike will look after their own interests and so they should. If it's to the detriment to others so what, maybe if they didn't abuse, mimick, ridicule, prioritise their mates, other Captains and treated everyone equally then maybe the Captain me in this instance might show a little sentiment. Till then got more chance plaiting fog, my team will always come first.

Yeah needed him, i'm not sure if Rich is eligible for FBL but Rich told me Keith has allowed leeway in the past but i would only go to Keith if i have no option.
Sean and Destroyer i won't put them in new fixtures as they are unreliable on Pool.

I do select all players in the SL the fact you find it necessary to throw all the fixtures out at the same time ties my hands up to obviously wanna select the best.
The fact players are tied to their respective sides too obviously encourages us to want to achieve the best result we can as a foursome. So yeah maybe you are approaching it the wrong way. Stretch the season and fixtures out and stop the three week duration as that also increases the risk of players losing interest.
The subs rule is a joke (should be one week only) as it's more a hindrance than a help.
Swaps are fine as they actually help, nothing else really does IMO.

You don't have to make promises to anybody, depending on the opposition you put your best options in. The only person in that list whos activity is considerably less than anybody elses is Aled. And the only people really who haven't lived up to their clan responsibilities are Dan and Sean. Everbody else is fine. Especially now Dave and Richie have said they will play. And a captain should worry about the activity of their own players, not their opposition (until there is just cause to do so..ie.when a match definitely will not get played) .. There will always be sufficient activity if elligible swaps/subs need to be made at some point.
