Ash: If a players subbed out...that's the end of the fixture for them...no subbing back in etc...that's where it gets ridiculous.

^ Don't think it would change things personally. Mich's idea is a good one i feel but subbing after two weeks will only promote more inactives being in fixtures and even more arguments in one sided fixtures as the captain shouldn't sub out the player who made effort.

Dee: Being able to sub at the start of week 3 rather than week 4 will just make captains think "I can put so and so in who is a good player but has questionable activity because with 2 weeks left to put a sub in rather than one it's less risky for a default".

^ This is my whole discussion why i'm against moving subs to 2 weeks. I feel it is okay as it is but Captains still feeling pressured to sub out the active player.

If it is two weeks it would reward the offending clan with potential default points.

If we use 4 points per week as an example, If Ric was active and made effort for the three weeks then Ric would get 12 base points and if say Etarvt made effort in final week it is 3 points so Ric would win 12-3 at default roughly, If etarvt made no effort and Ric's was the same then could be a 15-0 as opponent was 100% at fault.

If effort was roughly the same score would be 7-7 as a base.

Their may be a default as Klien won't sub out Ric which is the right thing as he shouldn't sub out an active player as Scorps hasn't been able to match him.

and was similar with Phoenix AND Scorps vs each other last season both rightfully defaulting the games there but can't remember if Phoenix did or not.

People think defaults are a bad thing but as i mentioned, active vs inactive, the active shouldn't sub out.

it is a discussion thread and was continuing where Ric and Keith left off. I'm not breaking any rules and having a constructive conversation.

You need "Pros" of no subs which is me and Ric, You need "Cons" of no subs which is Mich and Ash. You need both attributes to move forward as on Beta Tests, Beta Testers play the game, give feedback to the developers then they fix the glitches.

I think Subs are a glitch but others don't and that is fine as we are having a conversation why outlawing subs is a good/bad idea. No arguments for a change so no reason for you to get involved unless you can add to why subs are good/bad.

I'd like 2 weeks to do subs in a 4 week fixture but this way has worked so far this season.

Who in their right mind messages their opponent every day in a 28 day fixture? There are always other fixtures to move on to. The default system is nothing but an inadequate procedure of nonsense.

I personally think if subs were permited for the last two weeks then that's when the default should apply from too. If no appropriate action is carried out by the inactive players Captain then it will be obvious to everyone where and who the true culprits are.

That being said, surely with the amount of minions who were so quick to offer a helping hand at the beginning of the season, maybe they could actually check the team lineups before the fixtures are actually released?

I stand by any player subbed out of a fixture remaining exempt till after the Deadline too..

part in bold would encourage captains to put in inactive even more if they don't get punished. All that is needed is 2-3 messages per week with your times, asking when they can play, if nothing (or they just say "play now" which doesn't provide any times) then should be subbed out.

I want to discourage captains putting in inactive players from the start, if they are active then goes inactive then not your fault until you are free to sub then it is an issue each day a sub isn't done.
