In the first rack he smashed me, he got a 12 and then a 28.
In the second I got in early, and it was more even and i managed to just get the point, happy as if he carried on playing how he did in the first rack I was toast.

A really tight close match, much closer than I was anticipating to be honest, especially against someone who was only playing their second ever clan match. 8 US went fairly routinely for me, winning comfortably 4 - 1. In 9 US however, we shared the first 2 frames. Then, he had some amazing luck, and he'll admit this. He fluked a 6-9 combo, and then a 4-9 combo when he was snookered on the 4. To top that, he gets a golden break in the final 9 US frame. The luck did swing back to me however in 8UK, and how I needed it too. He unluckily went in-off in 1 frame, and then at 2-2 in 8UK (7 - 7 in the match) he fouled the black whilst trying to clear. What a close eventful match against a nice guy, who I predict will give a lot of good players trouble this season.
