8US: He played well and twice when i needed a cannon it failed so potentially lost two frames, he outplayed me though.

9: Good tactical stuff and from 2-1 down (2-6) i won last two with a runout in last for 4-6 going into UK

By this point Phoenix won the fixture so i wasn't worried about the score, lost the first and from 4-7 down i won the last four to pick up the win which going by flow of the game i didn't expect so 4-1 me in UK.

He was rather unfortunate in UK several times, i think we tried one roll up each as no shot was available which both failed.

Felt he was the better player and if UK was going well i could have lost 10-5.

He was unlucky in a couple, I got 1-0 straight off with a golden break which is a pretty sucky way to win I guess but cool because it's the first time I've ever done that in 8US. But they were good games and he was a perfect gent.
