8uk - I won the first after he got unlucky on a run out and left me with carry. I went on to run out myself in the next
8us - He won the first and was on a run out in the 2nd but got unlucky again and left me to clear up.
9us - He needed to win both and run out on his break to draw the match. He won the first with a neat combo double which he said was a fluke but I don't believe him :)
In the last he broke, potted the 3 and was on a clear shot at a run out but trying to dislodge a clogged up 9, he was very unlucky to leave the 5 nestling between the middle pocket and one of its knuckles.. he had no shot on but eventually went on to win the frame with a lovely 8-9 combo.

Gutted with this.. He cleaned up well when he had to apart from that luck killed me right at the end.. I ran out twice in a row to go 4 - 2 up.. I was on a 7 ball clear and to get position on my next colour had to hit it hard, the black went flying into the middle to make it 4 - 3..
I broke, potted red and yellow and left a perfect split, got down to my last yellow, potted it and went around 2 cushions to get position on black.. over ran it by a single mm.. Still could see enough of the black to pot it off his red and did so but his red went flying into the corner pocket as well.

Absolutely gutted but what can you do.. ggs mate, wp!

Great results coming in, this format for SL will be by a country mile the most open league of any sort on funky ever. With every team strengthening, I would go far as to say any clan in the league could win.

Yup i mean FPD beat us strongly in a game and credit goes to them, which means its anyones ball game

I have concern for Derik's safety as I have had vivid contact with him over the past week or so.

First frame he broke, left a pot on, and I cleared with a 35.
Second frame I started off good again with a run of 30, then it got a bit scrappy where we both had chances to win, then eventually i managed to get the last 5 pots after an unlucky positional shot from him.

Unlucky not to get the second frame. ggs, good luck for the season.
