To be fair, it's a well known fact that night time and darkness is a natural remedy for feeling sick. Whenever I'm poorly I feel awful until about 10pm until the sun fully sets and then I feel fine!
Next time, you're playing the very first match of the set!
I'm also a bit sick and made 2 run outs in 8 ball uk yesterday and played my best clan results since a long time ago.

Congratulations on your overall win - that was the closest we've ever pushed you ...we go again this set. VWP to zante - was a great match - shame wasn't 60-60 but credit to you all.
He's a very good player and his 8us is very good - the rest was very close 1-4 in 8uk isn't a fair reflection on the actual games but oh well.
Many thanks goes to zante for subbing in and also i have some reserved thanks to faust believe it or not we actually worked the majority of the fixture together. Shame was ruined a tad at the end but we both just want to do what's right and fair as much as each other.
Well that's what I think.

Me? I'm not sure if this is aimed at me. I play always when i'm free and played yesterday 5 clan matches in less then 13 hours, and not missed any arrangement yet in clans, except once against pocket dynamos where i apologized and it was played later.
Apart from that, well done on the match and overall win Zante.

First frame, I got a good clearance under my belt and on the penultimate ball I had a straightforward shot along the cushion but I hit the jaw of the top middle pocket, which then hit both jaws of the bottom middle and went back into the top middle pocket. Incredible fluke from what seemed a straightforward shot. He responded with a runout before I even realised what had happened and I knew I was in for a tough tough game. Managed to respond immediately with my own runout and we battled out the next two to take one a piece. 3-2 zante.

First I cleared his break, then a mistake from me in a clearance left him to level it. Next I had a connection issue, thought it would kick me but I got it back and he missed his shot and I managed another clearance. Then he left a thin combo on for in the next, only for my connection issues to play up and not let me shoot, he missed the combo with ball in hand but it didn't let me shoot again so another random left me with 3 cons fouls and a frozen window that didn't really let me type (perfect timing to add to the drama). Got myself sorted and back in the game after a restarted laptop and he claimed the win (nothing I could do there but fair enough in the circumstances). Then he broke and left a 2-9 on, which he potted with the white ball coming off/close to the bottom middle jaw. 5-5 draw.

Pressure is on now for both. Took out a difficult clearance first frame which I took a risk on the black to get the clearance free. Second I took another few good shots in my clearance. Tried again in the third only to leave the black just off the top right cushion with the black in the top left, tried to double the black to avoid potting the white in the top middle pocket but I hit my shot too thin and the pressure was cranked right back up. Took out another good clearance once I had the chance to go 3-1 up. Ash broke in the final, I potted one and then rolled a ball up to the pocket and Ash went for the clearance and as he set up the ball that stopped the clearance being on he overdid it and ended up wedged between my yellow and the black, and on his double to recover he fouled to give me carry and I took it out.
Final score:
Very tense match. Both made mistakes, his touchpad was overhitting shots and mine was underhitting and I had a bit of connection issue in 9 ball. All the drama you could ask for and it went to the final frame!

Seems i put Bigcjl2 twice in our game so will use a free sub later but want to use it wisely (e.g. If turtle comes on at night then i don't want to sub trats in)
I know about the two weeks to sub and i should have checked but wouldn't be fair to make sean wait two weeks then ask for a sub if seans unavailable

Mixed feelings. I've logged to see that Zante subbed in and won it for us. I hate defaults so I'm pleased that happened. Well done on what must've been a high pressure game. Well done Ash on stopping a default happening too.
However, my view remains the same that it was a calculated move to manipulate our best player out of the fixture. It is the second time this exact situation has happened in an FCL match v Phoenix and if I was not dealing with a screaming toddler, I'd probably have put my foot down last night and told Zak not to play it. I think it's totally unfair on Jack who met every arranged time, and had such a portfolio of messages - the default was watertight.
Still, let's move on and attempt to play the next fixture without anything either side could suspect as skullduggery. All the best!
