lets be honest guys its the current way to do things, captains not playing many games, difference is Ash rarely plays any games, whereas other captains only put themselves into games they have a good chance of winning (either by subbing or easier fixtures). my personal style is lead from the front but its the choice of the captain who plays each match.

When we have such an array of talent and quality players here then WHY would I put myself in a match when yeah i can play a bit but IF can get as many points playing better players then it's a no brainer. Also IF the Captain holds themselves back as a sub then they can sub in when absolutely necessary IF at all.

I had 6 chances to split the pack and ended up on nothing 5 times! he split the pack like 3 times and got beauties every time. its not like i set myself up badly i played beautifully except the last couple of shots where my head had gone so missed sitters
should have smashed both games cos i didn't miss a pot until the end and he missed multiple

Annoying when you don't get decent splits or any luck - still take the positive mate - you just confirmed the TEAM the OVERALL win -- great stuff. Gutted you didn't win both frames but what can you do when cluster and luck are against you.

Still a mighty fine player my friend.

Captains sign the players and pick the teams for each fixture, so If that team wins titles then the captain deserves as much credit as the team whether he played any games or not.

You've got it spot on about your own captain tho, until he signs players and picks a team that can win league titles he hasn't contributed anything to the team, totally agree with you on that Craig!!

US8 first frame was scrappy with balls clustered, but I pulled it off after intentionally potting one of his. Second frame 7 ball to me. US9 I played well and didn't give him much of a chance. One chance he got he was blocked. UK8 first frame i was another scrappy one but I pulled it out on the black. Second frame I was on for a run out and gave up a stupid foul on my last yellow, but he was very unlucky to foul on his last red giving me the carry and the win. Good games overall and I think on another day he may have done better, but TBH I'm on form today.
