Just a quickie...

If someone can choose 10 second games which would rightly put them at an advantage over me as I like to take my time... why can't I choose 90 seconds in order to gain my own adavantage?

I think that's a good point there mate - IF someone can choose the quickest time knowing it'll benefit them a little more then surely 90 seconds can be an option for the other player. Frames may be long and tedious BUT each to their own after all it is down to the players Home preference.

It is a good point, if we do 90 secs, we must do 5 as well. technically i designed it to be quick frames but i know mich has customers sometimes so those wouldn't benefit.

I personally would still choose the quickest time no matter what the time is.

You could add Straight also but must stick to eight frames for balance as any other scoring system can have a major impact.

I do think Apple has a point though since this is a home advantage event.

Up to you guys, makes no odds to me.

I very rarely take over a minute for my shot mind, I just like to have the option to have a think, it's particularly nice when on a nice run in straight or on for a runout!

So before we go on, do you want any limit where players may choose 5 or 90 seconds or 10 to 20 seconds where frames are a little quicker

Leave it ALL Open - Whole point of having a choice is the 'freedom to choose'

Agreed with leave it all open. That way we truly get a home field advantage.

What's straight? 2 pts a frame, 4 frames?

If I have any understood correctly, it is still 8 frames.

8 Frames, You choose to play Straight its up to you knowing it would take longer, could even do it in two sessions.

I know in most leagues doubling straight point works, but i'm not comfortable personally

Think it should be double points personally, it's double points in all the leagues to reflect the effort.
GB = 4 pts for 1 shot
straight = 2 pts for 35 shots minimum ??

Edited, hope players are happy with everything, Straight is same as the leagues.

And since these changes are after Joey vs Alex, they can either choose to replay or keep the score in case someone would choose Straight.

Only giving a week though so if they want to play Straight they need to post or in Alex's case message me
