First 4 or 5 frames seemed to be whoever looked like they were about to clear first would lose. Pretty crazy games, last 2 he was unlucky and I managed to sneak in the frames. He started off much better than me, but was very unfortunate to be 2-0 down instead of 2-0 up (the next two frames I returned the favour to level things up but he then was unfortunate again).

On another day, he would've had the win but today I came out of a scrap on top.

Came out playing much better, and got two well played clearances and another off an ul miss by jack. Had to cut it short to deal with some cat mess, but should be resuming soon.

Absolute pleasure to play against, you wouldn't think from his attitude that he just got whitewashed. He could've easily had 2 or 3 of the frames, but the position just let him down and in one of the frames it was just sheer unluckiness that the cue ball fell in the one place he couldn't clear from.

Way I was playing at the start I would've happily challenged Seb if a title depended on the match. Took a 2-0 lead, was playing well and with confidence. Took a tough runout clearance, got distracted by a significant other and went slightly off on my positioning at the end and distracted again I blew it on the 8 ball. He then should've got a runout, but I was too busy moaning to notice and took too long with a simple clearance left and rushed it to gift it him back. Then, frustrated but determined I went on for another runout but with the last in my mind I completely messed up the power and smashed what I meant to play gently setting up my last colour. It should've been 4-1 with 3 runouts, and because of one moment of frustration I ended up losing the type I could've harshly whitewashed.

After that, I tried to calm myself but I ended up messing up the first frame to give him the lead. Played a poor safety to leave a combo on for him (which was well taken and a tad lucky), and throughout it neither of us got on top. Had another runout chance where the ball just rattled the top left and It summed up how I felt. Could've been anything, so I was hoping I could level things overall but I fell short where he didn't.

8uk, I just carried on doing my thing hoping to try and overturn things and keep it close and all of a sudden it just clicked. Didn't give him a much of a chance in 3-4 frames, and he was unlucky to not clear up in the remaining but I managed to hold my nerve when I wasn't so confident and came up with a whitewash from nowhere.

Good games mate, again a topsy turvy match. No idea how I ended up 6-4 down with how I was playing, even less of an idea how I won 9-6. The best I've played so far this season, and I'm surprised I won. Though that one early mistake does have me wondering what could've been...

It all began when I saw in the fixtures a game I felt confident of winning. I bravely subbed myself in, and put in the dour, negative performance you'd expect from anyone in Uprising. A dark shadow has been cast upon all billiard sports today, and pool especially has been dealt a near fatal blow.

Kelly didn't seem to mind though, and was a good sport throughout, even managing to stay awake for the majority of the five frames!

US games I played pretty well, silly mistakes cost me 2 frames I should've won (one on the black, one on the second to last ball in 9 ball) but still a good score for 2 mistakes. 8uk, went from hero to zero. I went for a clearance 4 times and made a silly error to let him back in (one time I recovered myself with a good shot). The last I couldn't do too much about, I went for the clearance but stopped before I made a mistake and with one ball trapped he deliberately didn't pot for about 5-10 minutes even with the clearance on. Then from no where he decided it was time to finish and cleared it.

A very odd style of play, basically refused to pot and wanted me to make a mistake in the 8 ball games. 8us, I cleared up 3 times with 6 balls remaining and 7 balled him once and I should've had another big clearance. 8uk he did the same, but I was naive in going for the clearance each time. 9us, he just seemed to smash every shot and it did not work at all. The one he did get was me rattling a sitter of a 7 ball (after potting the 6 and 8 at the same time) while trying to get both remaining balls in at once. After being 8-1 up I should've played a bit safer and coasted to a bigger win. I was comfortable on the US table, but silly on the UK table to gift him back in and he was much better on that table. He went quiet when I went 2-1 up in 8us too, really unusual match haha. ggs.
