One of those games where the frames are lost and not won. Took a 2-0 lead in 8us by not making a mistakes, then had 3 games in the bag and blew the chance with rookie mistakes. Lucky for me Zac DC'd in the last else it was 3-2 to him.

9us, he left a 1-9 on from his break which I took well. He got a fluked 9 in the next (which he apologized for), then I messed up a runout after a ball got slightly in the way of a difficult 2-9 I was lining up.

8uk, I got kicked out the first frame and he left an easy clear on so we were even on that front. Tight replay eventually left me with the chance and I potted the white with the black to lose that one. The rest Zac should've had apart from a runout for me which I got out of a pretty outrageous position to seal.

On the balance of things, we both probably lost 4-5 frames we should've won so I guess that would be even. But it looked for certain throughout that I'd edge each type 3-2 (then UK should've been 3-2 for Zac in the end) and the score would be 9-6, maybe 8-7 to me. Playing badly, 10 points against an opponent who has proved very tricky to beat recently is a great result for me so I can't complain about losing the frames I did. Just one of those games we both had to laugh at ourselves because we both made similar mistakes over and over.
